Bodhi of True Love - Bast
#21
What's wisdom?
Wisdom is kung fu. One can find wisdom in anything when hard work is applied to it.
What's the most important thing in life?

That's above my pay grade. Ask again when I have intelligence above 9.8 on the Mercalli scale. You'll feel it for sure.
Why do owls get a reputation for being wise?

They are nocturnal for one. But the main reason is they are badass without being obnoxious about it the way wolves and dragons are these days. And I don't know. Alti probably hacked the history to make owls respected and worshipped at some point.
Should we fear the dark or the ones who can see in the dark?

You should fear the dark. I'll protect you from the others who see in the dark, so don't worry about it.
What would you change in NS?

I would create a world assembly for the orderly and a world assembly for the chaotic such that my anarchy stats stop getting roasted by every GA law that gets passed.

What's your way to deal with boredom?
Answering questions about myself.
What tires you the most?
Hellos and how are yous.
What makes a good story?
Good lies.

Well allow me to ask a few more questions to help you deal with boredom.

Would you consider yourself a storyteller?

Where does one hear the best stories, anyway?

Is it possible to trap lightning in a bottle?

On the subject of storytelling and lies - do you believe a tale is best consumed by text, through video, or live, straight from the horse's mouth?
BBR/Dixie.

It's short for Big Bad Redneck. Obviously.

Whatever it was, I plead the twenty-first

Would you consider yourself a storyteller?
I prefer the term "alternate historian" over "storyteller," it sounds more dignified. Maybe. I do consider myself this thing.
Where does one hear the best stories, anyway?
There is one place high up on the mountain where the wind whispers its secrets to any who survive long enough to listen. It is here where I... really enjoy reading books I obtained from garage sales and library booksales. There's no place to find the best stories. They are in us already, and various media help us realize that.
Is it possible to trap lightning in a bottle?
Who needs a bottle? I can trap lightning with a handful of sand.
On the subject of storytelling and lies - do you believe a tale is best consumed by text, through video, or live, straight from the horse's mouth?

That depends on the individual. The most diffusive method of transmitting a story is video. The most thorough way is text. The most impactful way... well, probably not from the horse's mouth. Heroes are rarely good at telling stories.

You get a visit from the ever elusive test dummy account! It is 100% just because I'm too lazy to change into the main one

First of all, how are you?

Ok, ok, now for real,

What/who is your favorite mythical being and why?

You said journeys are important so... what's the longest journey you've went on?

...and the most meaningful journey?

What area are you strongest in?

...and what area are you weakest in?

First of all, how are you?
A bit saddened by your dummy submission tbh.
What/who is your favorite mythical being and why?
I must refuse to answer this question. I wouldn't want to offend any of my patrons.
You said journeys are important so... what's the longest journey you've went on?
It's boring, but I'm going to interpret this as a physical journey question. And the boring physical response is... not far. I went to Texas once from New York. Layover overnight in North Carolina due to damage sustained in flight.
...and the most meaningful journey?
In my journey to find true love, by maximizing my knowledge of pop culture references for potential necessary laughing, I discovered shonen anime. Which took me to shojo anime, which after a few more steps led me to josei manga which is.

What area are you strongest in?
My wrists. I have really muscular wrists. I do particularly well in cold deciduous forests. Organization. I'm the one who contributes writing to the group research paper, then steals the entire thing away from the group a couple hours before it is due and fixes the grammar and formatting and merges individual tones into a cohesive voice. I'm the one who reshelves her own library books, ignoring the reshelf items here cart. I'm the one who washes the walls and ceiling when I start working in a new kitchen.
...and what area are you weakest in?

Collaboration. I always seem to end up working with a group instead of a team. This may or not be related to me dubbing my group "the leftovers" cause we're the people whose friends have better friends to team up with instead of us.

You hold my attention so easily. ? This has been a fun path! And a shorter one than usual, I think. Thank you for walking this with us and giving us a brief glance into what you perceive is good. :) We now present to you the Bodhi of True Love. We do not wish to lead how you tell your story or where you focus it, but you have had a lot to say lately about love, so we would like for you to write us a story themed after True Love. Whether it is a tale of true love, simply on the subject of true love, if it hates the very idea, or whatever is entirely up to you. Follow your heart. :) Good luck, Bast!

What I perceive as good lol. That is a generous way of putting it. Writing about true love. Like a dog composing a song for cats.
I'll likely have to check the Motion Picture Association guidelines for pg13 violence and gore.

I am grateful for your guidance along the Path of the Fae. o7

My story is meant to be viewed as a slide show. In Google Slides, go to the button along the top labeled "Present," and click it.

Yes, you could cheat and read the story in editing mode, but there's a lot of text all at once, and it may be difficult to tell the order in which things are meant to be read.

And uh. Well, I'm pretty sure this is pg-13. Rated as such for violence and romance. There are definitely teen novels worse than this out there idk.
